The CSAI is a 25-item Likert-type scale evaluating willingness of adult primary caregivers to use community services in the care of disabled and/or terminally ill family members.

The CBS includes 8 items related to caregiving and 12 focusing on bereavement issues. Each scale assesses subsets of appraisal, individual consequences and family consequences regarding the stress and difficulties of bereavement experienced by adult caregivers following the death of a care recipient.
